Standing 44 centimetres tall and 36 centimetres wide, this tree with roots sculpture is very busy. The shaped tops reveal the whiteness of sawn maple wood, followed by the natural tones, and textured, yet still smoothness of the peeled wood. The two tops come together to form a trunk of considerable girth, that curves around a river rock, and then explodes into mass of twisting and turning roots, with some of them over a metre long, they have completely encompassed the river rock, hand picked from the Fraser River's Herrling Island, where a channel was being dredged. A second, smaller rock is lodged in the tree's roots.

You will want to keep Occupatus where its beauty can be readily seen, and appreciated for generations.
